Timeline suddenly fell out of sync

Suddenly the playback has fallen about 2 seconds ahead of where the timeline indicator shows.

Steps to reproduce:
    1. I have a title sequence followed by some still images sync'd to a music cue

2. It plays back fine.

3. I made an adjustment to a move within the first still image 
Result: ...The playback in the monitor is about 2 seconds ahead of what the timeline indicator shows.
Expected: ...Everything to play normally

Workaround:  Works OK after a restart of the app.  (Took much longer than usual for the app to restart.)
