Transcription error when switching source timeline in Premiere

Gettng a an error in the text panel. Bug does not resolve afer reopening panel, but usually resolves upon re-opening app. Yet will error out again when switching timelines. 

 

There was an error - please reload the panel or restart the app

Error: A nullptr was dereferenced.

Thanks @ericw41974984 for reporting this. The next version of the public beta that is availble (after today) should have a fix for this issue.

Another user reported something like this. I've done various switching and did not get this. What do you mean by "switching source timeline"?

It appears that if the feature intitially works, it has something to do with the specific sequence it is reading from. However, when I switch to a different sequence, I receive the error. When switching back then to the previous sequence where it had been functioning correctly, the error remains. It's possible it has somethig to do with my sequences and how they were transcribed (either automatically or manually) but I'm not seeing any consistency at the moment.

I'll watch for this.

 

Some Options: Transcribe automatically vs manually, source clip first then added to sequence vs transcribe sequence.

 

I had one recent major problem in the Beta. It was several builds, and then suddenly it was fixed.

 

Good to report so staff can take it into account!
