Adobe Rush to Premiere Pro, 2024

I have recently started using Adobe Rush on my iPad while traveling (under the impression I could open the files in Premiere Pro once I got home).

I am now home, but I cannot find any way to sync, or to save a project file, or share in any way except "export to camera roll". I've seen old posts about "just hit sync" and "sync is being discontinued". It's 2024 - Is there currently any way to share my project file or open it in Premiere Pro??

Is there any way to save a Rush project on a hard drive instead of whatever auto-save system it uses?

Can't believe Adobe removed the sync feature. Further can't believe they didn't create an easier way to export working files. I lost files because of this. Thought it was a simple app bug because they don't tell you what's happening in the app itself, uninstalled and reinstalled. Everything gone. Later looked up why my files are gone and found out what they did with sync. Thanks for telling me everywhere except the app itself what's happening with sync. Makes me seriously think about quitting Adobe. Sync was one of the best features that set them apart.

It's a shame... As a long-term Creative Cloud subscriber, I am deeply concerned about these regressive decisions that directly undermine professional workflows. This seamless integration was essential for efficient cross-platform editing. The lost of Creative Cloud syncrhonization files was a shame too... Its a regression in functionality we didn’t expect as paying users. These changes feel disrespectful to subscribers. We invest in Adobe monthly expecting innovation—not the removal of core features or imposed limitations. When workflows deteriorate without consultation, it questions the value of our recurring investment.

 

Simultaneously, Team Projects remains unreliable compared to solutions like DaVinci Resolve’s real-time collaboration, where multiple artists work concurrently on the same timeline with automatic conflict resolution. While competitors innovate seamless connectivity, Adobe dismantles it.

 

I’ve always loved Adobe’s tools—they’re the backbone of my creative work. That’s why I’m deeply frustrated by these regressive changes.

The "Open Premiere Rush Project" command in Premiere Pro 2025 just worked fine for me to open a Rush project I made this summer. After receiving an email from Adobe today announcing the discontinuation of Rush, I will be trying to learn Premiere Pro. The first thing I tried was to open the Rush file. Good luck out there. 🙂

UPDATE:  You cannot. No. There is no longer any way to take a Rush project into Premiere Pro.

DO NOT attempt to start a project on the go if you need to use Premiere Pro for final edits.

Travel with your computer.

 

Just spent an hour talking with Adobe tech, beating around the bush discussing how you "could" sync... previously.

As of Feb 2024 - that workflow is dead.

 

Please update this app so you can save a project on local storage and transfer it to Premiere on a computer. Without this ability, the entire app is limited to quick edits that can only be accessed on that app and exported to a camera roll.
