P: rush android cant render anymore

I'm not sure if it was the newest update, or one before this newest one. but I'm no longer able to render any videos successfully. even if I make no changes and just try and export. I used to be able to render 5 minute videos in just a few minutes. now it takes hours to get to 30 some percent and then get stuck. I'm using a Google pixel running the newest Android

Any updates from the team?

An update was released over the weekend, @Manne28790805rosk. Did you install it yet? Let me know!

Thanks,
Kevin

Export on Pixel 7 now reaches completion but the ability to save locally is completely missing!? When rendering is complete, a toast notification says Saved to Gallery but Rush has no Gallery and browsing the CC app doesn't show any updated/new files. Same when I use the Files app to find new files.

Hello @x-e.ro and others on the thread,

I heard back from the team, and they are working on fixing this issue. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin

That's good to hear, thanks for taking this seriously. Is there a time-frame? Though I can't help wondering how it is possible that no Android phones have been added to the list of compatible phones since a couple of years back. Not that I think that's the actual problem (if anyone still has a "supported" Pixel 4 I suspect they'd have the same issues) but it indicates a severe neglect of Android users when it comes to this application. If no one cares to test the software on new phone models it really should come as no surprise that it suddenly doesn't work anymore. While this is being fixed there should be a disclaimer informing users that the films might not render, I think enough users have spent hours working on projects only to realize they can't export them.

These are important questions, but I'm sorry, I am in support and cannot respond to questions related to the product's development. I hope the team might react here but this is mainly a user-to-user forum.

Take Care,

Kevin

I'm on a Pixel 7, Android 14, last updated 8/1/24.

Tried recently to render a 30 second video with 2 clips shot on my phone, MP4 at 1080x1920. Comp plays fine from the timeline including imported audio (I ended up capturing the full comp via the Android Screen Record feature which plays fine). When I try to export/render using any format/resolution, Rush hangs -- the furthest I've reached is 35%. Between these glitches and the hours of lost work on Fresco, I'm not getting positive returns on Adobe CC.

Hello @x-e.ro@cisco_codes@Manne28790805rosk@Sarah28521753rl8k@thesprangus,

Thanks for writing in. I apologize for the bad behavior on specific Android devices (and certain iPhones, too).

Apologies, I am in support and cannot access Android or newer iOS devices to test with. I only have my phone to test with, an iPhone XS Max, which works reliably with Rush. I will deliver feedback based on your posts here. Thanks so much for your input and cooperation on behalf of the team and Adobe.

I have the team's attention on this issue. I hope to update this thread as soon as possible on getting your device to work reliably with Rush.

Thanks,

Kevin

I always render a lot with rush on my mobile phone, a Pixel 7 pro.

Since about a month it always get stuck at about 2%, while I have been doing this for years and it always went smoothly.

Something changed?

Thank you,

Kathleen

Thanks for the reply. That's weird, @kathleen29652010m3w6, though I have seen others have the same issue. The engineers can't reproduce this error. Can you try shooting in H.264 instead of HEVC? Some people seem to be having trouble with the HEVC format lately. As a fellow Rush user, I do hope I can help you! If you can furnish the community with more details, I hope we can help you better. Let us know. Sorry for the problem.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi,

I checked my settings and it appears that I am shooting in H264.

Is there a way to generate an error message by Rush?

Unable to export the files on Adobe Rush. The files aren't getting processed beyond 1%

I’ve purchased a premium version of adobe rush just to upload my vlogs in high quality and to make myself hassle free from desktop sitting, I've edited my entire vlog on rush and when I'm exporting it, it goes to rendered up to 7% and then crashes, also I've tried uploading it to YouTube directly but there it shows, "File not supported error"

anyone who's been through similar situation?

Hello @oberramirez

Sorry for the problem. It might be a problem with your media. Rush hasn't been updated lately to accept some of the newer formats. On behalf of Adobe, I am sorry about that.

You can try shooting some clips in H.264 (and not HEVC). Let me know if you can export these clips as expected. I hope this works.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hola Kevin, los clips que he grabado y usados estan en codec H264 como le informe en mi primer mensaje. Por lo que tu respuesta no me ayuda en mi problema.
