P: rush android cant render anymore

I'm not sure if it was the newest update, or one before this newest one. but I'm no longer able to render any videos successfully. even if I make no changes and just try and export. I used to be able to render 5 minute videos in just a few minutes. now it takes hours to get to 30 some percent and then get stuck. I'm using a Google pixel running the newest Android

Any updates from the team?

An update was released over the weekend, @Manne28790805rosk. Did you install it yet? Let me know!

Thanks,
Kevin

Hugely frustrating that Rush on Xperia 1 III has stopped working, freezes and crashes on export with any settings. Logged out and logged back in, and now all of my projects are GONE. This is not good enough Adobe. Not at all.

Hi Simon248834474xq0!

Sorry to hear that. Premiere Rush is available on selected devices. Please check the list here: https://adobe.ly/4dyvK96

Thanks,

Just a quick word of advice. You guys might want to consider hiring tech support if you're going to charge customers for your product. I have a Samsung 23+, I bought it just for this ap and video making but have had nothing but problems with it freezing, glitches and exporting files. I don't know if it's my phone or the ap and I guess we'll never know but it is Uber frustrating to pay for an ap that hardly ever works as it should. Going to check out other video creating aps, any suggestions out there?

Rush has not been updated to support the latest phones yet, sorry.

I advise you to avoid shooting anything that might be a newer format.

  • Avoid shooting any frame sizes larger than 4K. Don't shoot in 8K!
  • Shoot in standard color, not HDR.
  • Shoot H.264 instead of HEVC for best results.
  • Avoid any frame rates except 24 and 30 fps.

Then, all should work better and with expected behavior. Let us know if these guidelines give you better results.

FYI: Tech support is available via chat here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

The chat pod, in the lower right of the page, will guide you to our agents. Ask for the "video queue" M-F 7 am to 7 pm PST. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have same problem with my pixel 6. Even 20 second video exporting doesn't work. And I have latest android and latest app.

That's weird, @smu_4984. Do you have a sample clip to share?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey @Kevin-Monahan

I am also on a Pixel 6 and i am unable to export the video i edited.

The videos were reccorded with my phone camera, so its mp4, but unsure of the file codec. Total lenght of the edited project is around 2min 30sec. all i did was taking two videos and then cutting down the video to remove dead air, and shorten it for social media purposes. no effects, no additionnal audio, just the video, edited down to be shorter.

Im having the same issue as anyone else in this thread: the video will not render. the render stays stuck 0-1% (ive gotten an attemp to 5%, but thats the furthest it will go).

Is there any way i can share the project to myself on my computer or something? so i can render it on my computer and export it there? or somehow save the work ive done on the editing and recuperate this project somehow, without having to start from scratch?

When will there be an update on the app? I have a Pixel 8 pro newest update both on the phone and on the app and I am still experiencing frequent crashes. So much so it makes me not want to edit. I wasn't even on the app, I came to leave feedback and the crash window still pops up!

I'm on a pixel 6 and it just stopped letting me render and is stuck on 0% used to work fine. I've updated app, restarted phone, reinstalled app, signed in and out, ECT. Any help please? Fix ur bug.

Hi @daavoh,

What changed since the last time you used the app? What kind of footage is it? Did you shoot in HDR or 8K? Is it HEVC? More details would be useful.

Thanks,
Kevin

I just shoot regular hdr 1080p 60fps with image stabilizer on a Google pixel 6

Same pixel 8 pro. I've tried all different settings and video files, my video is 15 seconds long.... Disappointed, I'm paying a lot a month for Adobe full suite.

I have a similar problem on my Pixel. Recording in 1080p 30fps (not HDR). Stops rendering at various percentages. Actually worse than useless due to the complete waste of time editing a video that can't be rendered... Hope Adobe fixes this

Hi @Dalseide,

Do system requirements support your device? Do you have a long sequence? Do you have many effects applied? I hope we can help you.

Cheers,
Kevin

Don't Know about the system requirements. I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro. Does this, or will this, phone support this app? The sequence is 59 seconds long, includes multiple audio files, and videos with different framerates and codecs. But I've tried rendering several different single 15 second clips too, without luck. No effects applied.

Hi @x-e.ro,
I read about your problem. Check the system requirements for your phone. If the device is not listed but Rush still works, you might try checking the settings for your camera phone. Avoid 8K and HDR formats. Try shooting simple H.264 files; you should have fewer problems exporting. Let us know if the idea works.

Thanks,

Kevin

For some reason the mobile version of the app will not move past 1% when rendering videos on my Google Pixel 7 Pro.

I'm using video recorded on my Pixel 7 Pro, in portrait mode.

Hi Ingrid,

Rush is not officially supported on your phone. I'm not sure what the issue could be. Possibly, you are working on footage that Rush was not designed to support. If you are editing 8K or HDR footage, try shooting ordinary H.264 at HD or 4K, and you should be able to export it then. Please try it and report back.

Thanks,
Kevin
