Question

Constantly losing work

Stager is the only program I've ever used where saving doesn't mean it's saved. I just lost two days of work even after saving constantly. Stager turned grey this morning and I couldn't even exit out. After I restarted my computer, it showed that my file hadn't been saved in over a day. This isn't the first time, and it happens to my coworkers as well. It seems like you have to save as constantly and then double check the file location to make sure that it actually saved. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Also something that's worth trying.
Depending on how you decided to manage the back up files, you can see if you can retrieve something: See in edit>preferences

And check in the folder Stager has set up when you first downloaded the software.
Maybe you'll be lucky!
Fingers crossed.

I work with Stager on the regular but I honestly never had this issue (I had had some others, in the rendering department, and hopefully they've been resolved)
That said: I always create a new projects in a specific place prior to do anything and save regularly (muscle memory inherited from Photoshop!). That means I never work from an "untitled" file. But maybe it's your case as well...
Can you list here the step you take when you create a new file?

But what @Alexandre Becquet  said: The log file will be very valuable for the devs, as well as all the hardware and software info.

Hello, can you give us more infos about your computer, sytem OS and stager version. I'll try to help you the best i can.
Can you try to re install stager to see if the problem still happen? You can also try Stager beta but you will have version conflict if you switch between beta and regular.
If you can share the log file by sharing the file not copy paste in this discussion 😉
