Hello Stagers! I'm super excited to announce that we've launched Generative Backgrounds, powered by Adobe Firefly! This feature is available now in the Substance 3D Stager (Beta) application. The Beta application can be downloade via the Creative Cloud desktop app, under the beta apps section. Generative Backgrounds allows you to use a combination of text prompts and high-level controls (color, lighting, composition) to generate photorealistic background imagery for your staging needs. This can save a ton of time compared to building out 3D scene backgrounds, and can be more flexible and customizable than searching for the right stock photograph. Generative Backgrounds is in public beta and does not consume generative credits at this time. See the full documentation.
Adobe Team,I am requesting a clear and direct response regarding the future of Substance 3D Stager on macOS.For years, Mac users have been asking about native Apple Silicon support for Stager, yet there has been little to no meaningful communication from Adobe. At the same time, Apple has officially announced the end of major support for Intel-based Macs, and the industry is rapidly moving away from Intel compatibility.This raises a serious concern:What exactly is Adobe's plan for Substance 3D Stager?Currently, Stager remains an Intel-only application. As Apple continues to phase out Intel technologies and eventually eliminates compatibility layers, there is a very real possibility that paying customers will lose access to a product they have invested in and built professional workflows around.Therefore, I would like Adobe to provide a direct answer to the following questions:• Is a native Apple Silicon version of Substance 3D Stager actively being developed?• If development is ongoing

I am getting so frustrated with Stager and the way the rotation coordinates are constantly changing on me when I'm trying to fine tune the angles making it almost impossible to actually get what I want.I recorded my screen for a while and have put together this video using clips from the recording to show what is going on. I have also outlined below what I did each time and what I expect to happen Vs what actually happens.In the first clip you can see that the rotation values are X150 Y180 Z-180. I want to rotate it a bit more on the Z axis so I change that from -180 to -190. When I hit enter the -190 changes to 170 and the Y value changes from 180 to -180. OK I don't understand why but fine. Then I want to change it back to the way it was so I type in -180 again and it changes it to 180 instead. Now I have it back the way it was but the Y is now -180 and the Z is now 180. So the opposite of what they were to start with yet exactly the same framing.The next clip at about the 20 second
The glb file exported by Stager does not have a Height mesh, and it has become Displacement. However, I need it to have a Height. Can the Height and Displacement be made as export options?
Hello. This is happening pretty much all the time. I work on a file and then when trying to open it again to continue working I get a notification that says Unable to Open Document. The only option it provided is to copy the log and describe the issue in the forum.
I can import some .fbx models, but this one doesn’r import. Why?
I am having the Adobe Substance Stage Black Screen issue…. Everything was working fine but now when I open the project I have the black screen. There are multiple links and artwork in the file. I deleted the cache + folders, cleared logs and still nothing….. I want to note that I am using a Mac Studio M3 Ultra computer so as Apple thought it would be a good idea to remove the powerful GPUs and give us some little integrated garbage chip I am not sure how to fix this. Any ideas?
I’m writing this out of genuine frustration. We are now well into the Apple Silicon era — with M4 and even M5 chips already on the market — yet Substance 3D Stager still does not support GPU acceleration on macOS. At this point, this is no longer a minor limitation. It effectively makes Stager impractical for serious use on Mac. Apple GPUs have already proven their performanceCompeting 3D tools like Blender, Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, and others actively support Metal-based GPU accelerationYet Stager remains locked to CPU-only rendering on macOS As a result: Rendering performance is dramatically slower than competing toolsHigh-resolution or complex scenes are barely usableMac users are effectively excluded from the Substance 3D workflow So I have to ask — clearly and directly: Is Mac GPU support for Substance 3D Stager actually in development?Or is it simply not a priority? If it is in development, then why is there no public road
I have a problem: materials exported from Substance Sampler show color discrepancy when rendered in Substance Stager, even though the HDR has been adjusted to be consistent. How can I solve this issue?
Hello dear Community,I’m experiencing an issue with image sharpness when rendering in Adobe Stager.The scene looks clean and perfectly sharp in the Design/Viewport preview, but when I render the final image, the result appears blurry, the details look softened, and the overall clarity is lost.I’m not sure what might be causing this, and I may have clicked something by accident since I’m still new to the program. I’m attaching screenshots of my scene and render settings so it’s easier to understand the issue.If anyone has advice on what could be causing the blurry final render or which settings I should check, I would be very grateful.Thank you!
Anyone know where is the "Wall with Windows" effect is that may have been in previous versions? I saw this in someone's YouTube video. The goal is to to create walls with windows. This isn't an easy find in SG. Any help is appreciated.
I have dowloaded an image as glb from the poly.cam, since that is the only way to download as free. But I can't open it in the Stager. Can you help me how to bring it to the 3D Stager. Any one who knows this issue. Thanks
This software is quite possibly one of the worst Everything in here is available for free elsewhere and is incredibly easy to use. Gemini NanoB is free, tessellation of heightmaps, grayscale, export of STL from picture, mesh creation of Image, Everything Everywhere All at Never again. THIS PROGRAM IS UNUSUABLE. Slow, unintuitive, completely and utterly the worst workflow I have ever come across outside of Fusion 360. Having a Pro subscription does not cover this software, its $60/mo. Why are my GLB files from Polycam App not able to import into 3d Stager?
I have been having issues with Substance Stager since it's release, and this is about to push me over the edge with Adobe. I have no issues with other 3D software(maya, blender, fusion 360, houdini) as I am working on a $10,000 workstation designed for this line of work. This software has cost my business a ridiculous amount of time and money all to fall short over and over again. I am going to be requesting a full refund for the last year, as it continuously does not meet the demands of basic work let alone professional application. I have attached an image below showing what my screen looks like every 2 minutes.
Hi, I need help with my Adobe Portfolio site. My site is linked to my personal Adobe ID, but my active Creative Cloud subscription is linked to my organization account Surfspot. I cannot publish my site because of this.Can i move my site to my organization account Surfspot. Or can i move my subscription to my personal adobe account. I need the portfolio site as soon as possible and i don't want it gone because i worked really hard on the site. Hope you can help!Thank you!
I appreciate Stager offers the ability to render out multiple cameras at once. However, I have made little use of this feature because I always need to make a number of lighting changes per view. Is there a way of approaching this that I am not aware of?
I'm starting to lose hoppe that Adobe will ever release an Apple Silicon version of Stager, Can anyone recommend an alternative software they've found? My brand new pimped out M4 MacBook Pro just crashed running Stager, and I'm so over this.
I am trying to create a turntable however if I click on rotate or orbit in the animation tab the menus (orbit and rotate) dissappear. To test the issue I tried this on one of the built in assets and it does the same thing. This is the first time I have used Stager so I do not know if this issue existed before the most current update.

Hi ! I want to create draft or medium quality renderings but I only got it once. Since 3 days impossible to return an image because it is blocked at 50%, the timer increases, increases and never stops. I just place two lights, check and replace heavy materials, lower the settings for rendering but nothing changes. I don't know what's different with my first and only successful render (I'm just adding a little decal). Thank you !
