Question

When is the new version of Substance 3D Stager going to be announced?

Adobe Team,

I am requesting a clear and direct response regarding the future of Substance 3D Stager on macOS.

For years, Mac users have been asking about native Apple Silicon support for Stager, yet there has been little to no meaningful communication from Adobe. At the same time, Apple has officially announced the end of major support for Intel-based Macs, and the industry is rapidly moving away from Intel compatibility.

This raises a serious concern:

What exactly is Adobe's plan for Substance 3D Stager?

Currently, Stager remains an Intel-only application. As Apple continues to phase out Intel technologies and eventually eliminates compatibility layers, there is a very real possibility that paying customers will lose access to a product they have invested in and built professional workflows around.

Therefore, I would like Adobe to provide a direct answer to the following questions:

• Is a native Apple Silicon version of Substance 3D Stager actively being developed?
• If development is ongoing, what is the expected timeline?
• If development is not ongoing, will Adobe officially acknowledge that Stager has effectively entered maintenance mode?
• If Apple Silicon support is not planned, what solution will Adobe provide to existing customers who depend on Stager?
• Will Adobe offer a replacement product, migration path, compensation, or any other transition strategy?

Please do not respond with a generic statement such as "we cannot comment on future products" or "we have nothing to announce at this time."

Customers have been hearing those responses for years while the platform landscape has fundamentally changed.

At this point, users deserve transparency. Many of us have invested significant time, money, and production pipelines into Stager. Continuing to remain silent while Apple's transition away from Intel reaches its final stages is not an acceptable long-term communication strategy.

If Stager is still a supported product, Adobe should provide a roadmap.

If Stager is no longer a strategic product, Adobe should say so openly.

Either way, customers deserve a clear answer.

Thank you.

Apple just announced that it won’t support Rosetta2 with its 2027 Mac OS any longer. Should I just end my subscription for stager or is finally a native app for Apple Silicone coming?

Please make a clear statement about the near future of stager 3D. The Mac community was more than patient in the last couple of years. The additional stager subscription starts to feel like a waste of money, if it’s not future proofed.

A beta was promised for january but it never arrived or was not publicly announced. I let my subscription run out and used a few days to learn the basics of Blender. But since then I’m mostly using Gemini for my presentation stuff (product design), feeding it screendumps from my cad app. The cad apps are also integrating AI prompts for renders. My guess is that Adobe is currently considering their business case.
