Decal Showing Up on Both Sides of a Plane

I'm using planes to make 4 sides of an overhead banner for visualization purposes. Problem is, the decal shows up on both sides of the plane and I can't find any setting that lets me just put it on one side. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

One workaround is to change emission property for plane.

Another one that I find is to use torus with some customised parameters but the object not looks like the same as you have.
