Demo version for Stager that imports STP files?

I know that CAD file imports are supposed to be Enterprise only, but I can't recommend moving from Keyshot Pro to Stager to my boss if I can't test out how I pretty much start every 3D project - which is by importing a STP file that I get from the manufacturer. Does anyone know how to get around this limitation? Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately there's no easy way to have enterprise trials for individuals right now.  If you can run the STP file through a converter or export in a different format (USD, GLTF, GLB, SKP, STL, FBX, and OBJ are all supported without enterprise CAD access) to import you can test out the rest of the Stager workflow at least, and then get a sense of the overall results.  If you're interested in further testing then we'd need to get your company onto an enterprise trial which can take some time, as it's done on-demand.  We're very aware this is not ideal and are discussing how to make it easier to test the CAD feature.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking the best way to get around the CAD import feature issues is to simply make it available for everyone. Hiding it behind the enterprise subscription will just get in the way of freelancers moving to Substance. Until then, it doesn't look like we'll be moving over anytime soon as long as this limitation is in place.
