SG File incompatibility- Solutions? File converters?

Hi, I'm Laura and I'm new here. I'm wondering what others do about the problems with program compatibility for SG files. I cannot even add them to my libraries! They can't import into Substance Painter or Designer. How do you convert them? What should you convert them to?
