Stager Shows Nothing in Viewport

I recently installed Stager(1.1.1). It starts fine but placing an object in the viewport has no effect. Most of the menus and tools seem like they are active and can be selected but there is no actual effect. I can load a stager file but it shows nothing in the viewport.
Once the program is opened it can't be closed down unless I terminate it in the task manager.
I've reinstalled the program several times with the same result.
Any suggestions for a possible fix?

Just to clarify: I'm already using ver 1.1.1 which has the patch mentioned below. This does not sound like the issue. The principal issue is that nothing is viewable or happening in the viewport window.
I have seen that stager 1.1.1 will work on a different machine I tested on so I'm wondering if there is an issue with the video card (Nvidia RTX 2060 - using the most updated driver)?
I also tried removing the gpu sniffer file for Stager. I saw this had helped some people who were having a similar problem with Dimension. Interestingly Dimension works fine for me. Removing the gpu sniffer file had no effect.
I've sent the bug info to substance3D-bugs@adobe.combut have not heard anything back.
Any suggestions would still be most welcome!

Same issue here - I can open the program, but that is all. Freezes on imports of any kid. Must terminate the program from Task Manager also.
