Question

substance 3d stager and Blackmagic eGPU to Mac mini (2018)

In my Mac mini (2018) I have an Intel core i7,  Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB and memory

32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4. Substance 3d apps are quite slow in this configuration. I thought about the performance extensions. I want to buy Blackmagic eGPU.

Will it work? Does Anyone work in substance 3d applications using blackmagic eGPU?

Hello, at this time there's no gpu rendering available for Mac it's only CPU rendering and with window it's with Nvidia GPU. I think it's not necessary if it's only to work with Stager.

Have a look at this FAQ :

Thank you for the answer, Alexandre.

Obviously rendering gpu would be nice, but I already knew that there's no gpu rendering available for Mac. I mean working in the Stager application before rendering the scenes. I am going to continue my work using all your Substance 3d applications, and I am also waiting for the Substance 3d Modeler application. Will blackmagic eGPU be useful in this case?

ps I also use Photoshop, lightroom, inDesign, Illustrator.
