I have two similar topics that no matter what i put in for seach criteria they will not be listed in the results. A specific topic will not render with any search criteria.

Confirmed that the file name and title have no special characters
Confirmed that the option to eliminate the topic from search is not selected in the topic properties

You have checked the new topics survived the journey to the survive.

I'll leave Colum to comment on whether it is a Rh9 / Rh8 Server issue.

There are a couple of additional things to check:

Check that you have the <context>_server.properties file on the server has the "reindex = true" setting - the default is to set this to false.
Clear your browser cache.

It would also be worthwhile knowing if this has only just started happening after you have made some updates and republished your data.
