Access Adobe RoboHelp 2017 (Subscription, 2015 currently installed)

Dear Sir or Madam,

we bought a subscription for Adobe RoboHelp 2015 a year ago. Now we want to update to 2017. However, it seems there is no way and no information about how to access/download Adobe RoboHelp if you have a subscription plan. If we log in with our Adobe ID, it shows that we have a Adobe RoboHelp 2017 subscription now, which is great but how to access/download the product? We tried everything out: Creative Could Manager, Adobe Website, etc. but RoboHelp is not there. (At least not for subscription customers)

So can you please tell us how to access/download our subscription based Adobe RoboHelp 2017.

Thanks

You can download RoboHelp 2017 from here:

    Adobe RoboHelp (2017 release)-Free Trial

Don't get confused, because it says "Trial". Just download and install it and activate it with your account.

@Rohit35866049fs72 I don't think you will be able to get a download. Your only hope is explaining the situation to support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

That said, I don't think it is likely this long after the product when out of support. You may find vendors still offering it but I would be very wary that they are selling legitimate copies and they might contain various additional unwanted features.

The current versions are not compatible with the Classic versions.

    Hi @Stefan,

Because our vendor is still using 2015 we need to obtain the 2015 version ourselves. It was told that we could purchase a 2017 licence and run 2015 with that licence.

Is this correct? or do we need to contact support first to downgrade the licence.

    Much appreciate your help

Won't that just apply RoboHelp 2015 service releases?

If that does prove to be the case, install RoboHelp 2017 trial version and

then log in with the Adobe ID linked to the subscription. I'm told by Adobe

that will pick up the fact you have a subscription.

I'll be interested to learn how you get on.

(i don't know about robohelp specifically.  it could work differently than other subscription programs, but the others would update to the latest major version.)

in any case, it's worth a try.
