Adobe RoboHelp 11 / TCs 5 activation

Hi,

I've just been given a new documentation task after the author left the company. This an old project and in RoboHelp 11, via TC suite 5.0.  I have no experience with this version and activation, but have on 2015. On 2015 there was a serial number activation which can still be used today for old projects. But for RoboHelp 11 it's an online activation that does not work with my active Adobe TCs  suite. (no surprise here). Is there a workaround or another way?

I spent a long time getting 2015 up and running for another team again as Adobe themselves couldn't help and eventually the serial number was recovered.

I will look to upgrade both projects to current RoboHelp, but this is not possible right now.

Any help greatly appreciated

Is it still possible to

I just had to do this last week to install TCS4 and TCS5 on a new Win11 laptop. I had to add the serial numbers of the two suites to my current Adobe ID, deactivate off the old laptop and then I was able to activate on the new one.
You might run into the activation server issue mentioned in this helpx article, but I didn't need to do it as I wasn't getting the browser message - https://helpx.adobe.com/tech-comm-suite/kb/deprecated-internet-explorer-10-with-ims.html

I think the server required for activation of RoboHelp 11 has long since been retired. For a definitive answer you will need to check with Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

I think there may also be some third party licensing issues related to this version but support can confirm that.

I suspect your only option is to open the project in 2015. I would do that anyway before trying the new UI versions.
