Question

Adobe Robohelp $pr files.

I'm looking to clean up my project on the back end folders/files.  There a ton of rtl files which I have come to understand are temp files and can be deleted.   I also have a ton of $pr files.  What are the $pr files? Any other tips on what to look for /research/delete to "clean up a project"

I have a vague memory the the $pr files might be part of the generation process, and only remain if the generate process is incorrectly terminated part way through the process (i.e. the cleanup phase of generating is not reached). If this memory is correct and they keep appearing, it might be worth tring to figure out why the process is terminating incorrectly (assuming you're not doing a force kill in Task Manager 🙂 ).

This looks like you are using a classic version of RoboHelp. Please always start a thread with this information.

The RTL files are created when you preview a topic in Classic versions. I forget how the $pr files come about but I'm 99% sure they can be deleted. Just create a backup of your project before you  start.
