advanced search instructions for skin

Search instructions would be useful; for example, people seldom think of using NOT. Is there a good way to add an instruction to the default skin, or add a search instruction that stays at the top of the search field?

Thank you

Correct answer Willam van Weelden

If you want to add it to the skin, you'll have to add this to the whfform.htm file (and resize the available space in whfdhtml.htm). But could you create a topic on how to use the help/search option? That is probably the easiest option.

Thank you William and Jeff! Great knowledge.

Anyone else who is looking for this - both answers are correct, I'll like both and select William's as it's the first.

Whilst Willam''s answer re changing the whfdhtml.htm file is correct, I believe you will have to make that change every time you generate an output. By editing the LNG file it will use that every time.

Thanks, Jeff and Peter! I'll use the LNG. William, thanks for your thought on putting it into a topic. It's there, but it's so seldom mentioned in a Help file that people don't think to look for it and then complain.

cheers,

Linda

I guess you could also add text to the mouse overs by editing it through the .LNG file (File > Project settings > General tab > Advanced button > LNG File tab)
