Any way to designate anchor tag locations?

Hi,

I'm a prospective RoboHelp customer -  currently using Frame with WebWorks. I'm just starting to evaluate RoboHelp as an alternative and one of the things high on my wish list would be the ability to apply a custom marker in Frame that could be converted to an anchor tag in the WebHelp format output.  My content supports a set of fairly sophisticated scientific analytical tools, and there are many instances in which multiple elements in setup dialogs or other configuration screens warrant extended explanation, but I don't wish to chunk my help topics into an excessive number of small sections.

So it would be nice to be able to provide links somewhat like the Microsoft HTML "What's This?" function in which the link would open a larger topic at the relevant subsection.

Cheers, Brian S.

Hi Brian,

Have you tried using the standard hypertext markers (Special > Hypertext...) with the standard commands (Specify Named Destination, Jump to Named Destination, Go To URL)?

The way I'm reading your question, these sound like they'll work fine.

Thanks Matt, I'm really hopeful this will work, but strangely, the evaluation copy of Frame 11 that I'm testing with RH 10 seems to be lacking nearly all items under the Special menu, and the standard marker shortcuts don't work either. Perhaps Adobe is withholding functionality from their evaluation downloads? It's an odd thing.

No, I use the trial downloads to install with s/n on my computer, so they're fully functional. Are you working with structured files?
