Audio doesn't work in swf

I am using TCS2, with RH 8.0.2.208

I created a SWF using Captivate - both audio and video. Imported into FM works. Generate PDF - (save as PDF) - works. Both audio and video.

FM book linked to RH. In RH, the video plays, but no audio.

Ideas?

TIA,

Adriana

LOL - I'm not yet convinced that it's not Monday. I got mad, rebooted, went away, and came back... now it works just fine.Of course it does.

Sorry for the trouble. If I make it do it again I will share and make note of what I did/didn't do.

Amazing isn't it? How often rebooting can clear things?

    Glad you got it sorted!

    Cheers... Rick

    Hi there

Weird one for sure. I say this because the SWF contains both Audio as well as Video. One would think if you see/hear one you would see/hear the other. RoboHelp simply reserves a space on a page where the Captivate content is presented. It really has no influence over audio.

Wierd... and a show stopper. It doesn't help me a whole ton if I can't hear the audio on the video.

When I preview the topic from within RH, the video runs fine... no audio. This needs to be fixed somehow!

    Argh....

    Hi again

I notice you said "When I preview..."

What happens after it has been generated? Do you hear audio then? If so, perhaps there is a fluky thing going on with the RoboHelp preview.

Remember, previewing in RoboHelp is RoboHelp's "best guess" at what your end user will see.

Personally, I'd wait until I generated and view the result of that before I'd scream calf rope.

    Cheers... Rick
