Breadcrumbs for XML Outputs

I am using RoboHelp 2015. One of the outputs that we use is XML Outputs. In our template we us a placeholder for breadcrumbs. These work fine for our CHM and WebHelp outputs.

I saw in the RoboHelp help that breadcrumbs are not generated for XML Outputs.

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to "force" breadcrumbs for XML Outputs.
