Calling online help from the cloud

Can an application call online help from the cloud regardless of its deployment (cloud, local, client/server, SaaS)?

RoboHelp is our HAT.  Some of our apps are moving to the cloud; some legacy apps will install locally, some are SaaS.    Where do I find more information about this topic.  Searching the forums and general queries on the Internet do not return answers.  Thanks for your help!

The answer is yes. This is what we do at our company. It works very well. We just publish our help to a SharePoint server. Dev sets up links and we are good to go.

What matters is whether your developers can make the app call the help from wherever it is located, be that cloud, intranet or local. It's for them to decide on that and where they want the help located.

The location of the help just needs to be somewhere that supports webhelp so in your case, a web server.

Even in "the cloud" there has to be a server location someplace to serve up HTML pages - your help would be located there I would imagine.
