Question

Can Comments in Word be linked into RoboHelp?

I use Comments in Word to ask my boss questions or remind myself to do something. I sometimes need the same notes after linking the Word document in RoboHelp HTML 11. From what I can tell, the comments don't transfer over, but perhaps I'm wrong?

Comments will not come across. Tracked changes will also cause issues.

See Importing and Linking on my site for information about the process.

Thanks.  On a related question, does RoboHelp have a similar "comments" function, where I can make notes in or around the topics, that won't appear in the final output?

Create a Conditional Build Tag (like “Comments”) and mark all content that you want to hide in the output. Then when you generate, you exclude the Comment CBT.
