Question

Can I run RoboHelp 7 (TCS1) on Windows 7?

The Adobe OS compatibility chart does not indicate product versions, and Techncial Communication Suite is not listed as an entity.

Does anyone know if TCS1 will run properly on Windows 7?

What about TCS2?

Thanks!

RoboHelp 7 is not supported on Windows 7 whereas RoboHelp 8 is. That does not mean RH7 will not run on Windows 7, just that Technical Support will not assist.

I don't know about the other products.

Hi there

I"m struggling with this at the moment. I recently upgraded to a PC with Windows 7 64 bit. RoboHelp 7 doesn't seem to want to work for me so far.

I'm seeing the following message upon attempting to lauch:

---------------------------
RoboHtml.exe - Entry Point Not Found
---------------------------
The procedure entry point ?MakeLowerWin32@RHUtils@@YAPB_WAAV?$CStringT@_WV?$StrTraitMFC_DLL@_WV?$ChTraitsCRT@_W@ATL@@@@@ATL@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library RHUtils.dll.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Should I make any discoveries, I'll be more than happy to pass them along.

Cheers... Rick

The answer for TCS2 can be found at http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2009/12/fm9_and_tcs2_are_supported_on_windows7.html but that does not mention 32/64 bit.

For TCS1 I believe, as in my first post, that these are not supported. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure I have seen posts here that people have got RH7 running but maybe that was on the 32 bit version.
