Can't create new topic

I'm working in RoboHelp 2022 and when I enter the name for a new topic, RH displays an error that this topic already exists. However when I search the project contents for this topic, nothing is found. Can there be topics in a project that are not found by searching the project contents?

If no change, close and reopen the project and try again. Next look at the Topic List report.

Thanks for the quick response. I was actually using the Contents search you show in your screen shot. However the reopen and refresh must have done the trick because now I can find the topic the search wasn't turning up before. I tend to keep the same project open for days as I'm working in it, but that may not be the best approach. It may be better to close and reopen it more regularly. As you've demonstrated, RoboHelp doesn't always reflect all updates in real time. Thanks again.

It sounds like you are searching for content (Find and Replace) rather than using the Content search which looks for filenames.
