Can't export specific topics for a manual translation

Hi everyone. I've been trying to export all topics of my project to do a manual translation.
When I select the topics that I want to translate and I press export button Robohelp seems to start the exportation but never ends it. It seems to be blocked and then I have to restart the program.

I've been trying to solve it by myself and I noticed it only happens with some specific topics.

Those topics I can't export have the particularity of having numbers between the text. Then I replaced those numbers by text (7 to seven) and then the export worked.

I thought that the project might be corrupt so I tried with a new project. The problem still happens.

I tried with machine translation but got the same result.

I've been using machine translation before and never had this problem with numbers until now.

I'm using Robohelp 2020.8.34

Has anyone had this problem before? Hope someone can help me solve this.

    Hi everyone.

After several months, Technical support has come up with a solution. There was a bug in "es-ES.srx" file.

They have sent me a new code for this file which solves my problem with machine and manual translation.

The bug has been logged as #RH-11145 and will be fixed for everyone in the upcoming update of RH.

Anyone else needing this fix should contact Support quoting the bug number.

See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

I just set up a simple test with a few numbers in project and it created the translation project without any installation.

RoboHelp is installed in the default directory on your C drive on a Windows 10 or 11 machine, correct? Also are you working on the machine directly? In other words, a standard installation.

If so, I would uninstall RoboHelp, reboot and install again after downloading a fresh copy of the installer. Download RoboHelp (adobe.com)

If that fails, then I think you will need to go to Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Please post back to let us know the outcome.

Hi Peter. I uninstalled and installed again and keeps not working properly. Same problem with numbers between text in paragraphs.

I've tried installing the previous version 2020.7.46, which I had worked with until 2020.8 was released. But I keep having the same issue with numbers.

I'll change all numbers in the topics to text to keep working until I reach a solution with Adobe Support.

I will post here the results when its solved.

    Thanks!

Where exactly are these numbers. Are they just typed in ordinary text or in headings or are they in lists or in autonumbering?

Try the same thing in the About RoboHelp sample project. You should see it on the Starter Screen but if not then click Open Project on the Starter Screen to open File Explorer. Browse to Documents and then My RoboHelp Projects.

I've not seen this reported before and I don't know the answer. However, that troubleshooting might pinpoint something. Post back and if no one can work out the cause, then it can be taken to Support with what has been tried.

    Hi Peter.

Numbers are typed in ordinary text. I tried in the sample project and had the same problem.

I noticed that if I introduce numbers inside headings and tables I can export without any problem. Autonumbering works as well.

Seems that it only happens with text inside paragraphs and lists.
