Downloaded update this week, first numbers and lists acted strangely, now RH starts up, but nothing shows - can't open any xpj, including back-up files several months old! Help! Guess it is time to roll back th RH 7.0

Welcome to the forum yu1954.

Not unless you give us some clues. See the above posts.

How are you opening the project?

Where is it located (network or local)

What happens when you try, any error messages?

Can you open the supplied sample projects?

Hi yu1954 and welcome to the RH community.
Can you give us something more to go on? Is there an error message? How are you opening the project (e.g. inside RH or via Windows Explorer)?

I created a Help project using RH 8 a few of days ago. But now, I can't open it (.xpj). Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Thanks.

openned files by locating the XPJ and double-click it and by opening RoboHelp HTML, clicking File > Open, also from the Starter menu

seems like it, pretty scary there, back-ups are months old! funny that RH now opens files that it could not open before and here I am bitching that we did not get RH8 for free - when compnay wants me to use MS HTML Help workshop!

Created new project, imported old User Guide – looks fine, opened old #1 User Guide, it looks fine also!

Hi again

Okay, so how exactly are you trying to open the files? Do you locate the XPJ and double-click it? Or are you opening RoboHelp HTML, then clicking File > Open?

Cheers... Rick

Hi there

I believe in being simple. Have you tried simply restarting RoboHelp? If that fails restart the PC?
