Chapter numbering - how to get rid of it

Question

Is there an easy way to suppress the chapter numbering of imported topics? I cannot imagine that the majority of help authors want topics that are imported from Word documents to maintain the chapter numbers. I noticed these numbers are always included in a specific way. The corresponding lines begin with

1. , i.e., two non-breaking spaces in the span. That means it would probably be possible to use an advanced search & replace tool to remove the numbering, not a very nice workflow though. Are you awaye of any other method?

Thanks for the fast responses, changing the original documentis indeed a better option than doing a serch & replace. Stylemapping on the other hand does not fix it because RoboHelp writesthe numbers directly into the HTML.
