I have completed my project in RoboHelp 10 and it will be uploaded to SharePoint for user access.  The "chm" file extension is a forbidden extension for the server that will host this infomation.  Is there a way to convert the current "chm" file to another approved extension without corrupting the current file extension?

And just to be clear, all you have to do from the RoboHelp side is just choose to output in a different format. Almost everything that works in a CHM file also works in other formats.

    Hi there

CHM format has issues when you try to use it from a central location. Read the link below for more on that.

If you really need a format that is available from a central location, you need to think in terms of WebHelp, or HTML 5 or FlashHelp. Those formats are specificallly intended for central placement and access by a large audience.

    Rick,

    Thank you!

I just tried WebHelp and FlashHelp.  There are some minor changes with the output document, but I believe the FlashHelp it will work best.

LOL, just out of curiosity, why do you feel FlashHelp will work best? Personally, I would have opted for WebHelp as it's infinitely simpler to customize to what you want.
