Company still using RH 2019 Classic - trouble with Printed Doc

Hello!

I recently joined a company that still uses RH Classic 2019. I am trying to created Printed Documentation and it is not working. 

When I start printed documentation, it gets hung up processing files. I pretty much have to force an end task of RH as well as MS Word. 

I know Classic is out of date, but I'm too new to make any significant changes or consider upgrading - as I don't know how it would affect everything else. So, any troubleshooting thoughts or even reasons why it won't work would be much appreciated.

    I doubt the version of Word is the issue as most versions are OK with RoboHelp 2019. See https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/robohelp-operating-system-microsoft-word.html

     

    What might be important is that Word must be installed before RoboHelp and RoboHelp must be installed with admin rights. 

     

    The sample should work if those conditions are met. If not, get IT to let you try with admin rights if you don't have them.

      Was it working before & now it's not? Are you on the last patch version of RH2019 Classic (I think it was 14?). Does it happen with the sample project?

      Thanks for replying. The version is 14.0.8.004

      It has never worked. My colleague has also been unable to make it work. You can create a pdf from the review pod, but it does cut off screen shots that are too large for the page. I thought using Printed Documentation might alleviate that issue.

      I think there's some more updates on that one. Are you getting any messages that appear when you try doing the Printed Doc? Does it work with the sample project? Have you gone through Peter's site for tips - https://www.grainge.org/RoboHelp/Print/Printed_Output_RoboHelp_11.htm ?
