Config ID for each topic in robohelp

I am first time using Robohelp and created a Basic project with it.

When the URL for the project is created I want to edit and then publish with the ID or page name so as to shorten the URL.
How to do it? Or is it already there in the tool which I am missing.

I was able to create Map file following the steps in https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2022/outputs/mapping.htm

But now how to get the output. I tried to generate the same but couldn't get it.

Not sure what you mean - you've created the MapIDs and associated them with each topic already, right? Then you generate the output and make sure your Map file is included. Then you can call the topic by using the method outlined in Peter's site to launch the specifc topic you want.

I think your topic "items.htm" is in a sub folder? So your example RH project structure is like:

    Contents
        + Landing Page
            + Configure Assets
                - Items.htm

And in your output URL, you don't wnat the two folder names to show up. Correct?

The only way in Robohelp to shorten that path is to put all your topics directly under Contents . But that is very unwieldy to maintain.

You might be able to do some funky things with web server tricks, but you would have to discuss with your web server admin to find out what is possible.

Can I ask why you want the URL to be shorter?

After the preset output generate when I view and go to a topic page the link for the page is

Whereas I want to directly view the link as follow.

So my question here is how to get this type of link for each topic in robohelp.

Are you trying to provide Context Sensitive Help (CSH) links to the topic from some application? See https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2022/outputs/calling_csh_help.htm on Peter's site.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you mean the URL your users will type to access the website (like www.google.com )? If so, I believe that is configured on your web server.

If that isn't what you mean, can explain in more detail what you are trying to do? Screenshots may also help. Please attach any using the Insert Picture icon as this will insert the image inline with the text, making it easier to help.
