Connect Motherproject template for all projects

Hi!

We have a question which we need some help on.

We have made a couple of Robohelp projects and connected them to a Motherproject.

Our question is the do we need a customized template in all the projects or can we only have an customized template in the mother project?

It generates a great deal of files, we would like to avoid to many files if there´s a possibility for this.

If you follow the instructions on my site, the template for the parent project will apply to the whole output.

If, for example, you are using the orange template, customise the one in the parent as required. You will need to select a template for the children to be able to generate but you don't have to apply the customisation.

Note that if you want to also generate the child projects standalone, you have to generate them to a different folder. You would then need to apply the customised template.

@Peter Grainge Will the children will still generate with a full set of template files (images, stylesheets, etc)? I don't think there's any way to prevent that, correct?

Without checking, to the best of my knowledge they will and that cannot be prevented. Nonetheless, they will be overridden.

I would not delete those template folders without thorough testing though. Maybe parts are used.

What version of RH are you using? I think you're doing Merged Help - have you checked out Peter's site on how it's done and a sample project to play with? See grainge.org.
