Hello

Is it possible to contextualise an help whish is on a server ?

What I would like : when a user use a fonction of the software, he cliks F1, and it opens the help whish is on a server, on the right topic.

I already contextualise CHM help, but it are not on a server.

What format allows that ?

Thanks

You can use WebHelp to give your users context sensitive help.

There is some information on my site at http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/calling_webhelp/calling_webhelp.htm where you will also find a link to Willam van Weelden's site that has some excellent information.

Hello

Thanks for your blog, it's very helpfull.

The ideal for me is to have the same result, but with Air output.

The second choice would be CHM, but I think it's not possible.

Anyone know if it's possible ?

You cannot run CHMs from a server unless you edit each user's registry. How is described on my site.

AIR help comes in two flavours, desktop (installed locally) and browser based (installed on a server). If you want the commenting features of AIR help, you need the desktop version. See my site for more information about these two formats.
