Question

Conversion to .chm

Due to Vista, we need to generate a .chm from our existing .hlp project. In RoboHelp for Word, I've been using the "Microsoft HTML Help" Single Source Layout option to create the .chm file, and the results haven't been horrible. For some reason though, the Contents tab doesn't seem to work (the chapters/topics are there, but just as window dressing). Just wondered if anyone has seen this sort of thing before, if there's a quick fix, etc. I figure we'll be importing the project into RoboHelp HTML in the near future, but I wanted to see if I could get a functioning .chm together in the meantime. (Kinda curious if it's even worth the effort, really.) Thanks

The fix for the paragraph of fonts can be found under Snippets on my site.

For the same reason you mention, I had to go through the same process two weeks ago. The only issue I had when I compiled it at Microsoft HTML Help was that the first page of each of my books had a paragraph of font names. I had no problem with my contents tab.
