Converting Links to Cross References

Hello

Does any body know if it is possible to automatically have hyperlinks converted to cross references that can be used in print documentation. For example, to change a link to reference the page and section, as you might do in FrameMaker?

Not that I know of but you can have the hyperlinks remain links in the Word file so that they work if the file is viewed online. I think you want to show the page and section so that it can be read and turned to in the hard copy.

To have the links remain active, one clunky solution is on my site under Printed Documentation. With RH6, it is one of the new features.

You might want to try Woody's Lounge at www.wopr.com. The Word forum there has some terrific support and maybe someone has a macro to convert working links to cross references. That does suppose you have RH6 to generate those links in the first place.
