Question

Creating a hyperlink for a subtopic within a topic.

Hello,

I hope that this question does not confuse anyone but here it is! I have created a topic in Robohelp 8 with various sub-topics that describe the topic.

My desire is to create hyperlinks for the sub-topics after the intro to the sub-topics listed under the Topic.  This would eliminate the user from having to scoll down the topic page to find the applicable sub-topics to review.

Does anyone know how to do this, Robohelp only shows hyperlinks to web addresses, email, FTP, and files?

For example: I would like to show the below sub-topics with hyperlinks to the sub-topics under the topic (Using Search).

Using Advanced Search

Using Exact Search

Additional Search Methods

Using Search

Using Advanced Search

Using Exact Search

Additional Search Methods.

Thanks

Wendy

Hmm, this looks fairly simple (I think). If your "Using Advanced Search" text is already a topic (which I imagine it is), then you should be able to type "Using Advanced Search", select the text, and then either right-click or select the hyperlink icon off the toolbar (I forget which - I haven't got RH open now) and browse to the other topic that contains this content. Maybe I'm not getting what you're trying to achieve.

Actually "Using Advanced Search" is a sub-topic for the Topic (Using Search).   If Using Advanced Search was the topic, I could create a hyperlink but that is not the case. :-(

I don't know of any difference between a topic & a sub-topic except their positioning in a ToC - what makes them different?
