Hi,

I am currently working on a Robohelp file where I have to create a hyperlink in the topic to an MS word document.

Can anyone please help.

Thanks,

I'm not sure a CHM will allow a Word document to be opened either.

For a PDF you would add the file as a baggage file and then create a link to it in a topic.

You could try that with a Word DOC but I think you will hit problems on the end user's machines. Give it a whirl but don't be surprised if it fails.

Most browsers will block links to Word documents so a PDF would be a better option.

You haven't said which version of RoboHelp you are using.

    • If you are using a Classic version please go to File Help > About and confirm the version shown. If it is 2019 Classic, please add "Classic" when advising the version number.
    • If you are using the New UI, the version number will  be found in Help > About. Please add "New UI" if the version number starts 14.

Hi Peter, thanks for your reply. I'm using 2015 RoboHelp version. Out of RoboHelp we generate CHM output.

So, finally the output must reflect the link created in the project.
