CSS keeps getting overwritten - paths changed

Question

In RH7, whenever we publish our project, our CSS which has
links to graphics used for certain styles in (../images/xxx.gif)
format is consistently overwritten with a new CSS file that changes
the links to (images/xxx.gif).
This change breaks the link to the graphic and causes them to
not appear in the help system at all.

Any suggestions for getting this behavior to cease?

Your CSS file is one directory level below that images folder? Are you sure that's the way it is? Or should be?

Your CSS file is being overwritten? I've never heard of that happening, ever, with any tool, RH or not. Perhaps you could post the CSS code for one of these styles.
