Question

Display different TOCs individually in an output

Hello! My project has three different documentations for three different tools. I want to bring them all on a common doc portal. I am using the Frameless skin preset for this. I am trying to achieve a scenario in RoboHelp 2022 in which only one TOC (or tool documentation) opens on clicking one card/box. It should not show the other two TOCs, and likewise when I click on the other box-Child proj 2, then it should only show the TOC of Tool2 and so on. When I merge the three child projects in a single parent project, all of them appears as a single TOC in the parent output. Is there a way in RH2022 to separate all the three user manuals and show them separately as a single help?

I am struggling to visualise what you want. I think you are saying that you have three tiles on the home page that when the user clicks one, then they will see only a TOC for that. If so then I don't believe that is possible in practical way.

You could create a four projects, three with the real content and one with links to the other outputs. The downside is the user will end up with two outputs open and have to close both.

An alternative would be to use Dynamic Content Filtering. You can read about it at RH2022 Dynamic Content Filtering (grainge.org) where there is a filter icon. Click that and you can select one of the filters. You would create three filters. The filter icon does not appear on the home page so initially the user will see all the content.

Thank you for replying back. Yes, your understanding is correct. Basically, I want to create a simple doc portal in Robohelp that provides all product documentation at one place.  I will try implementing your suggestions.
