Question

Do I need Word & Acrobat plugin for Word to generate a .pdf output?

I can't generate a printed documentation layout -> .pdf from my project.
When I try, only a .doc file is generated in the target folder, although the option to make a .doc is not checked in the settings, only .pdf is checked.

I have Office 2003 and Acrobat 8 Pro installed prior to RH6. But when installing Acrobat, I un-checked all the options to install Acrobat addons for Word, Excel etc., when I want to make a pdf I just print the document to the Acrobat virtual printer.

I suspect that RH6 generates a .pdf from the already generated .doc, using the Acrobat addon for Word and the Word macros that are installed along with it - otherwise I don't see any reason .doc to be generated when this format is not specified.
Is this true?
Should I reinstall Acrobat to have the Word addon?

Thanks

That is something only Adobe can answer but it sounds logical.
