Question

Download PDF, Dynamic Content Filter, Adobe Robohelp Version 2022.5.28

Hi,

I am currently using Adobe Robohelp version 2022.5.28.

Can I download only content filtered by the Dynamic Content Filter in Robohelp?

My RoboHelp has many topics, and the entire RoboHelp content in PDF format is about 300 pages long. So the ability to print only relevant topics defined by the Dynamic Content Filter would allow me to have smaller PDFs of about 30-40 pages.

Thanks in advance for your research and advice.

@Jeff_Coatsworth You could be right but the word Download is what I picked up on. Why would the author download rather than generate was my thinking

The user can only print/pdf the current topic, whether that is viewed using a filter or not.

The only way to achieve what you want is for you to create a number of PDFs, say one for each filter. You would create those using a PDF template and preset and make them available from a specific topic with links or the TOC.

Ah, that's funny - I was taking the approach that it was the author of the help wanting a smaller subset to look at as a PDF vs what a user of the help was trying to do!

I don't do PDF output or use Dynamic Content, but isn't it as simple as configuring the PDF preset to use the conditions that you use for DC?
