Edit the TOC styles for PDF output

Hi everyone,

I'm on RH 2022.3.93 and I'm trying to edit the way my auto-created TOC in my PDF's front matter looks.

We have a corporate standard for manuals and I'm trying to copy that to our RH template. However, I cannot find a CSS file for the TOC, so currently I cannot change the appearance of my TOC at all. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

    PDF CSS styling is done in the layout.css file of the template you use for your PDF output preset.

     

     

    Assuming you have existing CSS of your own, try to integrate it into {project}/publish/templates/{yourPDFtemplate}/layout.css

    I am actually only using the layout.css - I guess I deleted the toc styles from there at some point as they are no longer there. I'll try to generate a new template and get the styles from there. Thanks a lot for pointing me in that direction!

    How you create the TOC doesn't affect the appearance of the output. 

     

    I believe you need to apply a CSS to the TOC section of the template. I'm travelling at the moment so I can't give you instructions at the moment. Post back if stuck and I'll see if I can help at the end of the week.

    There might be a specific style in template resources, layout.css.
