Embedded image in glossary entries

Hi everyone.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (I couldn't find anything and trust me I've looked).

I'd like to be able to embed a small image into a glossary entry so that for example, a glossary entry for the term "grab handle" could include a small image of a grab handle rather than a clumsy, text-only description along the lines of "four small vertical dots that appear in docked toolbars" or similar.

Many thanks in advance for any guiding light.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy

Unfortunately the Glossary as it functions within RoboHelp is limited to text only. You may wish to submit a Wish Form to ask Adobe to add the feature in a future release. (link to the Wish Form is in my sig)

Alternatively, you may wish to consider creating a topic that is used as a Glossary. In this way of working you may include anything you normally have in topics.

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick,

Many thanks for your reply. Apologies if I'm being stupid here, the only

way I can see of responding to your post is to Reply to the email

notification.

Anyway, regarding your alternative suggestion:

>> you may wish to consider creating a topic that is used as a Glossary.

Do you mean create one big topic that lists out everything in alphabetical

order? If yes wouldn't I then lose the use of Glossary hotspots + Glossary

tab?

Cheers,

Andy

Yes, that's what I mean.

Well, yes and no. One possibility includes maintaining the RoboHelp Glossary in the event you want to have the Glossary hotspots. And yes, you would lose the Glossary tab as it works today. But you could insert a toolbar button that bears the name Glossary and points to your topic instead.

Unfortunately, there always seem to be many trade-offs in life. To gain this feature, you sacrifice that one.

Your call... Rick
