Question

English language search doesn't work in local localized projects.

I am using the latest version of  RH and сan't find English words in the localized version of the documentation using default search engine. Has anyone faced such a problem. Is there a solution or the ability to connect a normal search engine.

@AndreyGl - use that e-mail address Peter gave you to contact them; the regular chat or phone support doesn't get you in contact with the RH folks.

I had spoken to development and they requested that you go via Support as that will give them a means of getting the project to look at. There isn't a known issue here, hence needing investigation as to why it is not working for you.

There are some defaults. I don't know what you are using as the search term.

Have you excluded any topics from search, deliberately or unintentionally?

As I said, beyond that you will need to try Support.

When you say latest version, you mean 2020.6.76?

Unfortunately, technical support has repeatedly proven its absolute inconsistency. This is the best way to waste your time and not get a solution to your problem.

And in this case, we are talking about basic functionality, the absence of which makes the product unsuitable for use.

I have queried this with Adobe and if those suggestions are negative, please raise this with Support and they will look into it.

See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Could the words that are not found be in the Stop list?

In Topic Properties there is an option to exclude a topic from search. Could that be a reason?

I don't use stop list at all.

Sorry, don't know enough about localization (never had to do it for any of my projects) to know how it impacts Search. Was it working before & now doesn't?

Hmm, ok - so the issue is that there are untranslated English words in the localized content that Search is not finding? Is that the issue?

    Yep

In other words, it is performed only in the language that is set in the project settings.

Are you talking about searching in the output created by RH2020?

Yes, you are right. I'm using Frameless output.
