Question

Exporting responsive HTML5 layouts severely bugged?

Hi all,

when I use the "Export" function to export a responsive layout into an SLZ file and then in another project (also in a new test project) use the "Import" function to import it, then the result is bugged. Using the preview causes Robohelp to crash and generating the output produces a scrambled HTML page without any layout.

However, if I manually copy the layout files from the old project (after creating a responsive layout with the same name in the new project), then the result works.

Another problem I found - using either procedure I cannot change the layout properties like background colors anymore (rightclick > edit) once I transfer it to a new project.

Do you have these problems too, are you aware of a solution?

Robert

I have not seen issues with the export and import until now. Did you make any manual modifications to any of the files, other than through the editor?

As for editing, what is the error you're getting? RH reads the file MasterThemeSchema.xml. If you copy paste that from a working project, it should be ok.

Kind regards,

Willam

Yes I made some modifications (Layout changes, remove the glossary). The files work fine in the original project and also if I copy them manually into another project, only the "Import" function makes the process fail.

When using the "Edit" function to make later changed (e.g. change colors) then I do not get any error message - the changes are simply not applied.

Thanks for the hint about the MasterThemeSchema.xml, I'll have a look at that.
