Features in RoboHelp

I am trying to evaluate RoboHelp and would appreciate if some one can throw some light on -

1. RoboHelp can import DocMaster DTD, but can it also import MathML and work with it? Can it then generate Flash based Help files from this content?
2. Does it provide features to ensure any level of accessibility compliance (e.g. section 508 or A / AA / AAA compliance?)
3. Can I have custom-designed skins for my help content
4. Is there any scripting capability? e.g. Can I call an external Director or Flash file from within RoboHelp?

Thanks in advance.
Would really appreciate a quick response from any one of you.

Hi Robo user and welcome to our community

First off, I think clarification is in order. FlashHelp isn't a help system intended for Flash, nor is it composed of a single Flash file. Instead, it is a help system where the navigational components are presented using Flash.

As for DocMaster DTD, MathML or something like this, I'm not sure. Perhaps another RoboHelp user that is familiar with what these are can speak to that.

WebHelp provides a Section 508 compliant output, but FlashHelp output does not.

Can you have custom skins? Sure! Are you familiar with programming Flash? If so, great. RoboHelp comes with some help that provides guidelines on creating the FlashHelp skins. I think this is called the FlashHelp API.

Can you call Flash and Director files from RoboHelp? Sure. Link to them as needed. However, I believe Director files need a special player to be present and installed in order to view them.

Hopefully this helps... Rick

And for a translation of Rick's cryptic "Upi kist ;oml ...", I suspect it is meant to be "You just link ...".

It had me puzzled for a while.

Hi Anne

LOL, where in the world do you see THAT verbiage? It's plain old English when I view it. You been running this thing through BabelFish or something?

Cheers... Rick
