Frameless Header Links

Using 2022.6.34. Forgive me on this question:

Where do I edit the frameless header, specifically in the 1 and 2 illustrated in the image below? I want to disable it from going to the homepage and/or making it go to a particular topic in the TOC. Thank you SO MUCH!

I have tried all sorts of template settings to no avail. Try this.

Hover over the logo and right click, select Inspect. That will show the code for the class that includes the link. Note it includes the destination.

Now create a CSS with just that code but without the link.

In your template go to User Assets and add that CSS.

What I am hoping is that it will stop the logo taking the user to the Home Page.

If it does not, then you could try Adobe Support.

See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Let us know if you do find or get a solution as it may help others.

I’m sorry for going MIA, Peter. So, I tried your suggestion. Not sure if I did everything right.

Create a logo-nolink.css.

Added the css per your instruction.

Published and got this error.

What does the log reveal?

@Peter Grainge @Jeff_Coatsworth  - The header and logo links is triggering unwanted OneTrust text for some reason. PLEASE help me on how to disable the header and logo in the header in that image. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance.

As Peter said, you can hide them, but the links still are active. There doesn’t seem to be any way in the UI to remove the links. You’d probably need to look at the output and edit that.

btw - why are you opposed to having them appear and link back to the starting page? That’s pretty standard behaviour these days for websites.

Thx so much, Jeff. For some reason when I clicked on them, it shows this gibberish junk/text that seems to be the OneTrust cookie banner text. So if I can disable them it would prevent the unwanted text.

You can hide the logo but the area remains active, it will still go to the first topic or whatever you set in the link.

That looks the Oceanic template - you should be able to edit it after selecting it in the Output Preset (provided you’ve given it a new name like “Oceanic2”).

Thank you. However, how do I disable it from going to the homepage? Thx again, Jeff.

I thought there were some settings that control that top line of the screen - like the background colour, the logo image & the URL that it’s pointing to. Why do you want to stop it from going back to the default topic anyways? That’s kind of standard website convention these days.
