Getting "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Repro:
1. Create a chm file in RoboHelp 7 HTML.
2. It works when I open it from within RH, or open the .chm as it is saved in My Documents>MyRoboHelp Projects>Project name>!SSL!>projectname.chm.
3. I copy the file to a different location (like a network drive).
4. When I go to open, only get the "shell" the file opens with the TOC, but all the pages show "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled" message.

Wassup with that? I don't even know where to begin troubleshooting. I am not getting any error messages in compiling.

thanks, Leisa

Hi there Leisa

Please take this in the manner in which it is intended. (read humorously) Where you been for the last few years? Microsoft made a change years ago that broke CHM functionality when you try to run them from a network location.

If you want, you can change the behavior. But it means relaxing security a tad. More can be found at this link.

Cheers... Rick

Yep - thanks. I finally figured it out - thanks.

And - to answer your question, I have been sequestered, and forced to write web pages, use Framemaker and toy with other various help tools for a number of years. Just picked back up on RoboHelp after a 5 year hiatus, so it's all new.

Best, Leisa
