GIT recommended/popular GUI clients for RH2019?

Researching/prepping the move to RH2019 with GIT as a version control solution for a mult-author enviro.

Current Environment

  • 4-writers (RH licenses/users)
  • Currently running RH2017 with RoboSource Control + MS SQL Server Express 2005 (hey, it's been reliable!)

I'm new to GIT. My understanding is that the default methodology for performing version control tasks (e.g. check-outs/check-ins) is provided via command line. Our writers are more writers than computer geeks; in our currnet version control enviro, they simply start editing a topic and it's auto-checked out. When they're done, they can check it in by clicking a single button (e.g., check in all from RH's collaborate tab). With GIT, I understand there are third-party GUI clients available that'll assist with many/most of the version control functions. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with GIT GUI clients they can share (free or for purchase)? Or perhaps I don't fully understand how RH2017 + GIT version control will work for our team - in which case, maybe the community here can shed some light on that fact. TIA!
