Question

How can I get RoboHelp HTML SDK?

Hello!

Tell me please where can I get information about the following issue:

We are willing to create a plugin for ROBOHELP which would check the content
of RH documents according to our linguistic rules.

We were very successful in creating this plugin for Adobe FrameMaker.

In fact almost every Adobe product provides nice interfaces which allow us to
access the content and manipulate it.

Please advise if the same exists for the Robohelp and if yes, where can we
get it (just like FDK for Frame).

In brief we need to be able to:
- create user menus
- access the text content
- highlight individual words in the editor
- handle click and keypress events

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi there

The closest you will probably come to accomplishing this is if you have RoboHelp version 8. This version offers Scripting.

You may download a Scripting Guide from the page linked below.

Hello Rick.

Thanks for the answer but the question is still opened.
RoboHelp Scripting Guide was the first that I explored before writing here.

Yes, it's the good tool for accessing the RoboHelp project content.
Unfortunately, (correct me if I'm wrong) the scripting does not allow us to get access to the program main menu, handle click, keypress events, etc...

My attempts to load any external object using the scripting had failed too.
Really is it that hopeless?

Is there a chance to access the RoboHelp API?
If it is feasible we could discuss purchasing the SDK for Robohelp then.

I will be grateful for any information which could advance the question.

Best regards.
Andrew.
